LIDB-CC-CNAM-DA Database Update

Service Order System

The LIDB-CC-CNAM-DA programs track information changes made through Client Server Service Orders to subscriber accounts. That are then updated to a third party vendor.

Changes sent to the vendor include: Since not all vendors collect all types of information, the system is designed to provide specific pieces of information to vendors using the specific formats and codes they require.

Processing

The changes you make through the Client Server Service Order program for Call Screening, Caller ID Name Delivery, Directory Assistance, Listing and Calling Card Type information is kept in a file to be updated to a vendor.

The LIDB-CC-CNAM-DA system processes the subscriber changes and creates a text file format appropriate for transmitting to a database provider.

Vendor Maintenance

The LIDB-CC-CNAM-DA Database Vendor Maintenance Program allows you to setup multiple vendors. This is where you specify information each vendor needs to be updated with.

Setup for each vendor the 'TYPE' of information collected for each vendor. (ie. cc=calling card, lidb=call screening and class code). Even specify the information to be collected for each vendor by exchange.

Once all vendors are set up, the Exchange Control File Maintenance menu is used to specify the exchanges for which each vendor will receive information. As well as setting limitations on the information that is sent (ie. caller name information is not sent to a vendor for an exchange, even though they are capable of receiving it.

Formats

Quintrex currently supports vendors that use the Bellsouth and Illuminet formats. Other formats can be added but will need to be reviewed by Quintrex staff.

Transmission

Transmission can take place at whatever time frequency your company requires. (ie. daily, biweekly, etc.) You also have the ability to choose which vendor to update. They do not all have to be updated at one time. If a file, for some reason, is not received on the vendors side you can retransmit the same file, multiple times if needed.

The transmission of the information to the vendor is via the Internet and requires use of either Netscape 3.0 or later or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or later as a Web browser.
