Directory Listing Service Order System
The Client Server Directory Listing program allows you to efficiently add and update directory information for your subscribers that can be sent to your directory publisher on tape or by paper.
The program includes the ability to work with primary, additional, separate, and foreign listings (listings outside of your service area). Once a listing is added, you have the ability to view how the listing will appear in your book and decide in what section it should appear. Both in the Service Order and Subscriber Inquiry programs, you have the ability preview or 'proof' a listing before it's sent to the directory publisher.
Once a listing is generated and a service order completed, the directory information is sent to a directory file where all existing subscriber's directory information is kept. As changes are made to subscriber listings, the directory file will maintain the most current status of a listing with the effective date for each change as part of the record.
Modifying an existing listing is simple. Through the entry of a service order; change an address, a name, a telephone number, or a directory section a listing is under, all within seconds. Also remove or add
number(s) for a subscriber from the same screen. Once this service order is
completed, all directory information is updated to the directory file.
This method of maintaining your directory information ensures you are taking full advantage of the integration you find in the Client Server Service Order program and keeps directory a low maintenance job.
