Plant Records System
The Plant Records System operates in a Windows Client/Server environment and maintains accurate and detailed cable records for inside and outside plant management. The system eliminates repetitious input of data and provides ease of record update. With more than 40 different combinations for accessing and displaying cable pair information, Plant Records System provides the most accurate and current cable records possible.
The system allows you to set up and maintain multiple switch identifiers with different switch formats. Related cable pair information is available in detail or in abbreviated form for one pair, a range of pairs or all pairs. You will have the option of displaying this information on the screen and/or sending it to a printer.
Detailed Cable Pair Information
The system separates cable pair information by company, area code, exchange, and switch ID for creation of specific reports. Line circuits maintain a status of "Vacant" until attached to a subscriber or can be specified as 'left-in-place' if it is not attached to a subscriber but is attached to a physical location. Unwanted cable pairs and line circuits are easily purged if they are no longer assigned to a subscriber or location.
User-Defined Fields
In addition, the system allows for user-defined fields which include:Input values for these user-defined fields can be controlled through validation. The system also customizes description codes, such as cable pair status and line circuit prompts. The system's unlimited free form comment capability will allow you to maintain all the cable pair information you need. You can also create customized reports in a format tailored to your specific needs with the Plant Records Query feature.
