Toll Rating System
The Toll Rating System operates in a Windows full color, mouse "point & click" environment. The system rates toll messages collected by the switch and call recorder. Together with the Toll Polling System and Billing System, it provides complete control over recording, receiving, rating, and billing of subscribers' toll call records.
Integration
The Toll Rating System is totally automated and user-friendly. System integration allows you to consolidate and easily manage your toll processing in one location, including AT&T Purchase Order Green Sheet processing. The system accepts call records in standard EMR format, and transmits records to the IBM AS/400 computer for rating via the ATM Toll Polling System or by manually loading LAMA tapes created by your switch. The system includes a LAMA utility function which investigates and corrects tape-related errors before actual rating begins.
Thorough Processing
To prevent duplicate billing of subscribers, the Toll Rating System automatically checks for duplicate records, and separates
unrateable calls for investigation procedure. All new calls, as well as unreadable calls prior to investigation, are rated automatically and matched to the appropriate subscriber. The system retains detailed information for each rated call. A hard-copy rating report displays messages and revenue by call category. The system also verifies totals for Carrier Access Billing.
The Toll Rating System accommodates all AT&T and Bell Operating Company (BOC) requirements, such as 5 percent sample tapes and 900 service tapes. A STARS Invoice Number Change feature allows you to set up invoice numbers necessary to satisfy to BOC requirements for various record types. Also, user-maintainable rate tables allow you to change your own rates.
Matched Tolls
When matching tolls at the same time as rating, billable tolls are then calculated with all subscriber specific discounts, charges, and taxes. This system identifies tolls to be processed by calling plans which are applied later in the billing cycle. You can also match at a separate time. Match as often as you need: daily/weekly/monthly.
Unrateable Calls Purge
You can purge individual unrateable calls or by multiple calls according to a specified reason (ex: no rate table, state code not found in file).
Rate Quote
When a subscriber calls in for pricing on a call to a specific destination at a specific time with a specific date range, your Customer Service Representative can look up this screen to tell the customer exactly what they want to know.
