Point of Sale
The Point of Sale program takes multiple systems and pulls them together to create a seamless one time data entry point for customer's payments, sales, and returns. You are able to quickly begin using this intuitive program to dramatically cut down lag time often experienced when flipping between payment and Subscriber Inquiry or making double entries in Cash Drawer and Inventory. Together with the Subscriber Inquiry, Inventory, and General Ledger Systems, Point of Sale entries are distributed automatically ensuring a one time entry.
For every sales and return transaction generated, a sales person code is attached. To find a subscriber's account, search by account number, phone number or name. New receipt layouts for Point of Sale provide greater detail on the type of payment(s) and on the actual items purchased or returned and provides new message areas different for each type of receipt. A purchase order number for each order ensures accounting's ability to easily track purchases, charges, and payments.
Payments
The most flexible and intelligent payment program yet, Point of Sale provides the ability to process any combination of payment types for a transaction, review subscriber information and pay according to predefined charge groups rules, or by market. All check payments processed have the option to automatically print pertinent information on the back of checks for easier reconciliation and deposit processing.
Sales
The sales feature provides the tracking of sales in the Inventory system by both dollars and quantities and also maintains sales transactions in Subscriber Inquiry. For those items either serial or lot controlled, a table displays for the user to specify the lot an item is from or its serial number. To satisfy multiple user preferences, inventory items can be entered either by typing in the Item Number or scanning the SKU# into Point of Sale.
Returns
Returns made through the Point of Sale program can be applied by any of the payment methods; credit subscriber account, credit charge card, or cash back. To process a return, the system first locates all sales transactions for the subscriber and lets you choose from the list the item or items are being returned. A receipt is printed as well for returns and displays the initial sale date, return date, the item(s) returned, refunded amount, and a preformatted 'Returns' message at the bottom of the receipt.
