Positions

 

Support Specialist

Qualified candidates will provide technical support in specialized areas of our software.  Candidates will work directly with the development staff to research and resolve inquiries.  A basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and Telecommunication knowledge and experience with IBM i5 and/or other network resources are a plus.

 

Support/Installer

Qualified candidates must be talented and versatile professionals with excellent verbal and written communication skills, self motivated, desire variety and challenge, and work well under pressure. Available positions require extensive telecommunication knowledge.  Experience with IBM i5 and/or other network resources is a plus.  Extensive travel is required to install, train, and support clients on the Quintrex software.

 

Senior .NET Software Developer

Our growing mid-sized company is undertaking an exciting project to enhance our systems using .NET development. We need highly motivated, multitalented and experienced developers proficient in Visual Basic who are eager to take on the challenges of new system development. Are you ready to make a real difference?

If you are a fast learner who loves to be challenged and work a collaborative setting, you will thrive in Quintrex's team environment and rapidly evolving industry. The position requires 4 or more years of .NET development experience (Microsoft Certification desirable) and a strong working knowledge of SQL and the .NET Framework. Experience in the following areas is desirable, but not required: N-tier applications, XML, Winforms, Internet standard protocols, web services, web development, version control (e.g. Subversion, Team Foundation Server), build automation, unit testing, telecommunications and iSeries (AS/400) systems. Applicants must be able to work from our office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. US citizenship or permanent work authorization required. No agencies please.

 

Quality Assurance Specialist

Position includes quality assurance testing, documentation and distribution of IBM i5 software releases to clients. Individual should have knowledge of the IBM i5 or its predecessor, the IBM AS/400, application development and testing, and a strong commitment to the delivery of the highest quality software products. Must be detail oriented, and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. The individual will work closely with application developers. Two years experience in software testing and quality assurance procedures required.

Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, you have access to many opportunities. Culturally Cedar Rapids offers Art Museums, Orchestras, Singing Groups, Theatre, and two frequently used concert halls. Educationally, there are 5 colleges/universities within a 40 minute drive including 3 colleges all within city limits. As for children, the Cedar Rapids School System ranks as one of the best school systems nationwide. Sporting activities include the Roughriders Hockey team, Kernels Baseball team and lots of outside parks and trails to use in all seasons for all types of recreations; biking, walking, running, ice skating, cross-country skiing, fishing, swimming, etc. For evening activities, there are plenty of restaurants, night clubs, sporting events, and theaters to keep anyone busy.
