Quintrex developed their first billing and rating software in 1979 for an independent telephone company. The telephone industry at that time was already well established and mature. When deregulation occurred in the early 1980's, the US independent telecommunications industry exploded with new ideas, technologies, and growth.

As only the best survive in such turmoil, the Quintrex billing system grew into the highly integrated and fully functional product it is today. Now known as Telecommunications Information & Billing System (TIBS), the Quintrex family of systems are installed in over 20 US states and Canadian provinces at successful and satisfied independent telecommunications companies. TIBS Windows Client/Server environment provides "user-friendly" point and click applications, complete with many user-definable fields and customizable graphical reporting functions to offer one-time data entry and pure telecommunications management solutions. TIBS is easy to learn and operate with its pull down menus and icon flags. Additionally, the Windows Client/Server environment offers greater system security and the ability to run multiple sessions concurrently.
