Flexible, Efficient & Integrated...

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Tri-County Telephone Association, Inc., Council Grove, Kan., recently selected Quintrex Data Systems Corp. to install its integrated Billing, Customer Care, Marketing, Plant and Financial Package. System highlights include Convergent Billing, Switch Provisioning & Audit, Target, Suggestive, Campaign & Promotional Marketing, Bundling, Churn Analysis, EBPP, Self-Customer Care, Trouble Management and Workforce Management.

Utilizing the Quintrex systems to track, monitor and bill for its existing services of Wireline, Long Distance, Video and Internet, Tri-County will have the flexibility to easily expand into new markets, such as wireless, while maintaining all customer service efforts from a single system. "Currently, there's no connectivity between our retail store location and our billing system. With Quintrex, we can eliminate a lot of double entry and utilize the Point of Sale system to easily charge a customer's monthly statement directly from our Solution Center," said Tri-County's Controller, Rhonda Bethe. Combining three separate systems, including a service bureau application, Tri-County will find increased efficiencies in many of their daily processes. "There are so many functions that we do manually right now, separate from our current operating system," noted Tri-County's Director of Marketing, Scott Bankes. "This will save us a lot of employee time and allow us to focus on other tasks. Quintrex really brought all of our departments together."

Using Quintrex's versatile reporting functionality, Tri-County can easily work with data in a user-friendly format. Being able to upload and modify reports directly in Excel was a key component to their system selection. Through the Quintrex system, they can run ad hoc marketing reports as well as get the trouble and financial information they need with ease. "Today, I retype information into Excel, just to get the reports I want, " said Bethe. "It will be great to finally have a report that says what you want, in a way that you want, consistently."

These reports will also help the company provide superior customer service. By reviewing a list of trouble reports, Tri-County can easily identify common troubles in a specific area and be more proactive in their service approach. For example, when a customer calls in to report an outage, suggestive messages can be displayed by service location to instantly notify the CSR of an updated repair status. In a similar fashion, the entire marketing suite will allow Tri-County to target promotional messages to customers based on their service selection. "I think there are a lot of valuable marketing tools in the Quintrex operating system," said Bankes. "I'm really looking forward to the up-selling prompts and scripts for the CSRs, the promo code and sales tracking will be great. I can't wait to get started! There is so much potential!"

Taking advantage of the latest in Quintrex development, Tri-County will also use the Workforce Management system to more efficiently administer tasks to their remote technicians. Allowing them to be more environmentally friendly, electronic communication can be made with technicians in the field and schedules can be more effectively organized to save time, reduce fuel costs and complete more jobs per day. Covering three counties and 14 exchanges, the program will allow schedules to be easily made before the day starts with the flexibility to accommodate on the fly scheduling modifications.

Additionally, Tri-County will benefit from its two-way mapping interface with Mapcom Systems, developer of M4 Solutions – a map-based Geographical Operations System (GOS) software suite that allows telecommunications providers to enhance their information flow by displaying data in a geographic view. The interface will save time by eliminating duplicate entry and improving customer service with the immediate assignment of plant facilities as they become available.
